Seen on music album cover in Josh and Oonah’ s flat. This original neon art by Henry Chebaane is an homage to the punk rock scene of the late 70’s from New York City to Camden. The mouse smashing her guitar is a pop-art remake of the seminal double album by The Clash from 1979. Design available as mug, wall print, postcard and cushion cover.
This alternative rock version of Britannia portrays her as a multi-cultural herald of tolerance and diversity, rather than the 19th century imperialist version claiming to ‘rule the waves’. Instead, Henry Chebaane has reimagined her exhorting the public to ‘waive the rules!’ and be creative. He made this original linocut and spray paint on metal as an early version of Alex. Design available as mug, wall print, postcard and cushion cover.
